The voice on the 7 Days of Prayer is that of Eugene Rowley, General Manager of APH Radio 99.9FM in Shelby County, Alabama. APH Radio is a non-profit, non-commercial community FM radio station focused on giving back to the local community. "We want to give away as much as we can. That's the name of the game. And we want to bring local radio back," Pritchard said.
Rowley noted that oftentimes with large corporate radio broadcasters, revenue generated leaves the community. "If we have a voice here that has mass appeal, we can keep those dollars in Shelby County," he said.
The new station will have a blend of musical genres offering an "all-hits format, so you will always hear a song you know," Rowley said.
He'll host a morning show from 6 to 9 a.m. that will have "conservative principles and Christian values" but it's "not your typical talk show."
